Week(end) Adventures: A Few Days in Minneapolis

By 5:00 AM , , , ,

IZEA has been sending me all over the US lately and this past week included Minneapolis, Minnesota. My colleague and I were excused from the first day of the conference and what a blessing this was! We were able to visit all of the local hotspots around town including the City Sculpture Garden and Max's Bar for the infamous Juicy Lucy, a burger with molten cheese packed inside.

SNAPSHOTS:
1. Pumphouse Creamery is a South Minneapolis ice cream shoppe that prides itself in organic milk and cream from the Minneapolis and Wisconsin area. They offered all of the classic flavors from chocolate, mint, and strawberry. I'll have to visit again when they feature the Chocolate Coconut Almond as that sound delicious!
2. Minneapolis is known as the city with the most urban parks and it certainly did not disappoint. In the downtown area, there is a park and waterfall called Minnehaha. We shared quite a few laughs listening to Siri pronounce the park's name.
3. Our group visited the falls just before dusk. The sun was falling slowly behind the crest of the falls and I made sure to snap a few pictures.
4. The City Sculpture Garden is famously known for the Cherry on a Spoon. However, beyond the spoon, the garden featured many artworks and a botanical greenhouse.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
1. Many of asked me on my Instagram to share the pasta recipe I posted and I did! Give this Pasta Fagioli recipe a try.
2. Thank goodness for my blogging community to keep tabs on my goals.
3. I've been working on all photography including my Instagram. Thanks to Beth and Meg for leading the #HoldersNotFolders challenge.

GREAT FINDS:
1. I've been all about perfecting my coffee and these homemade coffee syrups are delish!
2. I love how feminine, yet casual this look is for Spring.
3. I've been doing so much traveling lately, so I am trying to become a master at packing light.
