This past weekend, M&I ventured off to Austin, yet again this month, to Circuit of the Americas for the Lone Star Le Mans and Tudor Championship series race.

He is already mad at me for choosing that above photo ;) |
As many of you may know, M is very into racing. He has been racing go-karts, Volkswagens, Miatas and other race cars since he was
four. Racing has always played a part in his family, so M has been itching to go see Circuit of the Americas since we got here.
The Lone Star Le Mans did not disappoint. I had a lot of fun picking my favorite car and cheering for it the entire time. I was amazed at how fast these cars were going; on the straights, the cars were hitting 175-200 miles per hour. In the first race, I had quite the obsession with "Pink Car" who ended up getting second place!
There was quite the gap in between the races, but a lot of entertainment to enjoy. There were a ton of food trucks, armadillo races, original Texas longhorn bulls, and every car manufacturer had displays of the new car models and former race cars. Photo dump - commence:

M works for a tire company and Continental is their rival! We shall keep his company unnamed for now. |
