Welcome to our website !
Well, folks, we are in the homestretch! A week from today Mike and I will be waving bye to Orlando, Florida.

Can I just say that the to-do list for moving is never-ending? I mean c'mon! Every time we turn around we add another "Oh crap!" item to the list like changing the utilities to another person, changing the address for my car insurance. I have started my own to-do list with plenty of room to add items.

Things are really moving along. When we get rid of the furniture that is in the way, I will definitely feel even more accomplished. However, when you look at that photo....
We're getting close...right?!

Of course, I should be packing right now, but first - let me eat a pizza.

What am I missing on my list? What would you add to your packing list?
I am very girly. I love pearls, monograms, lace, nail polish, clothes .. you get it. One of my favorite things to do is get my hurr did.

Once every three months, I hit up one of my most treasured contacts: Lauren. Lauren and I bonded nine years ago when my teeny bopper self went into the Hair Cuttery practically every month to change my hair color, chop my hair off, add layers, or just say hi.

That's Lauren. I love her. Her tattoos are awesome.
Given that I am moving to San Antonio two weeks from today (eek!), I had to "touch up" my hair before I leave and am gone for three months. So, I decided to go from highlights to the ever trendy ombre.

The Before and After
I LOVE it. She did awesome. Everyone should use her. She works at Salon Cielo & Spa at the Mall at Millinea.

PS. This will not be my last "look I changed my hair" post! I change my hair seasonally - seriously.

Because, obviously.

As some of you may know, I play ultimate frisbee. A lot of ultimate frisbee.

In the past five years, I have traveled to 10 states and Canada to play or watch the sport that I love. I have played on teams out of Orlando, Gainseville, and Tallahassee. I even met Mike through my college team! I think we can all agree - I am a committed to this sport.

I have been fortunate enough to skate by all seasons with very little injury. However, I found out yesterday that I likely have plantar fasciitis (aka achy, sore pain in my left heel).

The medical definition for plantar fasciitis is as follows: "the plantar fascia is the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. It connects to the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the foot. When this tissue becomes swollen or inflamed, it is called plantar fasciitis." Medicine Plus

Luckily, I seemed to have caught it early enough where I am only in pain after standing (or playing) on it for a few hours. The healing process is long and involves a lot of stretching and icing my heel.

The good news? I got to buy some cute sporty sandals to wear during tournament weekends. I needed them for better support, right?

Blogging. Every young twenty-something year old girl is doing it these days. Why not give it a try myself?

This blog is an attempt to document my new (& starting soon!) journey ahead. So why Raybans to Rodeos, you ask?

Mike&me; Daytona Beach; Mom&Me&Gma
That's my current gig. Orlando, Florida. It's about an hour east or west to the sandy shores, a hop skip and a jump to every theme park imaginable (think big ears and Harry Potter), and I live(d) in one of the best Downtown nightlife scenes in the South!

Haley&me;Frisbee teammates in Austin (ironically)
Orlando is where I attended college - the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!), went to high school, started my career, and met the love of my life. #adorable

So you get it, the whole "Raybans because its always sunny and a bajillion degrees here" Florida thing. Why rodeos?

Yeah, that's how I feel too.

Welp, I'm moving to Texas. San Antonio to be exact. I'm thinking, "What on Earth is in San Antonio except the Spurs, the Alamo, and that Riverwalk thing?!"

Oh, nothing. Except a tire company, an hour south, which is where M (that special someone) decided to find a job. He's lucky he is an Engineer and my job is going let me work out of the comforts of my home ;)

So here's to hoping for the adventure everyone seeks! Bring it on Texas; let's see what you got!
